BOTBENTO / POLICIES AND HELP

Delete your account and data

You can request deletion of your BotBento account and associated data from the app or through the web, including when you cannot sign in. Removing the app from a device does not delete your account.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Settings and your account settings.
  2. Choose Delete account and read the deletion summary.
  3. Complete the confirmation shown. If the app reports an error or cannot complete the request, use the contact route below.

Export important information using the account export control before confirming, where available. That export covers local account data and does not include all shared history, external runtime/provider data or device caches. Account deletion is permanent; signing out or uninstalling is not a substitute.

Request deletion without the app

Use our contact form or email privacy@botbento.com. Say “Delete my BotBento account and associated data” and provide the email address associated with the account. Send the request from that address when possible. If you have lost access, explain that so we can arrange a proportionate identity check.

Do not send a password, sign-in code, API key, identity document or payment details in the initial request. Submitting the contact form saves a request for the team; it does not instantly delete an account. We will verify authority, explain any issue preventing completion and respond within the period required by applicable law.

What deletion covers

We process removal of the BotBento account and account-owned data, including profile information, personal conversation records, stored files, bot configuration and connection records, subject to shared-space and lawful-retention limits below. Connected-provider cleanup can require a separate step or retry. Ask us to confirm its status if you need assurance that a particular provider copy has been removed.

Other participants’ copies, exported files, messages already delivered outside BotBento and data in accounts or runtimes you operate may remain. Account deletion does not delete your Google, email or other third-party account. You can also revoke Google access in your Google Account connections and disconnect other services in their own settings.

Exceptions and retained information

Messages and files in surviving groups can remain associated with a “Former member” label so other participants keep their group record; this includes an author identifier. This is a current retention limit, not a statement that every legal erasure request can be refused. Ask us to review account-linked material for removal or anonymization where required by law. Your external WorkOS sign-in identity is not automatically deleted by the current app flow; include it in your request if needed. A hashed phone-number hold can remain for seven days to prevent number-reuse abuse. Minimal security, abuse-prevention, request-completion or legally required records may remain, and backups may retain data until their rotation. We do not promise immediate erasure from every backup or third-party system. We will explain applicable retention and unresolved cleanup in response to your request. See the Privacy notice.

Mailing lists and individual information

App-account deletion and website email subscriptions are separate. Use the unsubscribe link in an email or ask us to remove your subscriptions too. You can request deletion of particular information, access, correction or an export without asking to delete your entire account.
